Quranic verses - Words from Lord of the Worlds

In the name of Allah Most Gracious and Most Merciful,

Ramadhan has made me feel close to Him. When I read the Quran and its translation, I realise that Allah has given His words in the most beautiful ways. Yesterday was the anniversay of the first word from Allah which is revealed to mankind through His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. The ultimate purpose of the revelation is to guide Man in their doings and for Allah, to be recognised as the creator of everything.

Lord of the Worlds, The Almighty are among words used to address Allah. Allah has stated the process of many things through His revelation so that Man learn and reflect upon it in order for Man to thank Allah through their obligations and good deeds.

The Holy Quran is meant not only to be recited but also to be understood and potrayed through actions in our daily lives. It has been relevant from Prophet's era and will remain relevant until the Doomsday.

Upon reciting Quran, Man is rewarded with pahala and blessings as a gift from Allah. Man will not know the benefits of reading Quran and practice it until they make it real in their daily routines.All in all, the most rewarding effect is the purification of heart whereby Man's soul is undergoing the cleansing process.

Therefore, let's all Muslim recite and understand Allah's words in the Holy Quran. We may not know what is installed for us unless we acted upon it. InsyaAllah ~

Fiesta of Food?

Despite the fiesta of 'ibadah', I shall say that some people take Ramadhan as fiesta of food. Bazaar Ramadhan which is exclusively available during Ramadhan has at least made my point right. Why not? Just walk through a bazaar, booths are at our both sides, left and right, and each booth provides almost different delicacies which we rarely find in other months.

I went to bazaar Ramadhan in Melaka couple of times. I honestly don't like it when there are lots of people.Dah..what did I expect? There should be lots of people right? The crowd had made my movements difficult.Therefore, I would avoid bazaar unless desperately in need of food.

Therefore, I prefer to cook at home or just ask my dad to go. Since there are not many family members at home, cooking seemed challenging. The portion should be just right to avoid wasting.

Talking about food, it has come to me that I shall share a special recipe that has established a record in my household. The most eaten pastry in 3 months, 6 pies were baked within that time.Even teachers in my mom's school had their first encounter with this thing called 'pie' and the one that they have specifically eaten, accurately known as 'Apple Crumble Pie'. That has made it even special..haha..

It's easy to make but a bit tiring becos there's few steps need to be fulfilled in order to make this savoury.

The blissful month - Ramadhan

Finally, Ramadhan has arrived. Every year, I've always reflected upon the past Ramadhans. There will always be a new aim for another journey of self-purification. Each year, new memories were made as Ramadhan comes despite whatever you do, whether you're studying, working or on vacation.

Looking back at previous years, I've experienced fasting in UIA and the rented house in Peringgit during study period. I've collected many sweet memories fasting, breakfasting and terawih with my friends. One of the unforgettable would be terawih at 'surau' in Taman Peringgit Jaya which has the air conditioner. It was great to pray in such condition which hinders sleepiness.

This year, I make my vow that this Ramadhan will be spent wisely. Even without air conditioner, I've to be thankful that we can pray in peace compared to some other places like Palestin, Afghanistan and many others which might experience hardship.

Let us collect as much 'pahala' as we can through ibadah and noble deeds in this month. Lailatul qadar should not be wasted. Let's be one from many that meets the day.

Economic slump?

It's quite obvious that Malaysia is going through the economic slow down...The govt has restructured the budget and some subsidi has been decreased to avoid immediate bankcruptcy.
I don't know how far it is true but the future seems to be a little bit foggy for Malaysian citizens.
I just heard from my sister who's currently doing her A-level in INTEC, that this year will be the last year the govt sending off bright students to futher studies abroad.

Definitely, this country is having a hard time. We still can't figure out the future but this should be taken as a sign for people to be mentally, financially and emotionally prepared of what is going to occur in the future. For sure, we all have to be smart not to be fooled and stuck in this crisis long enough that we have to suffer being depressed.
